you could always drive traffic by simply promoting your site. One way is through social networking sites which is by the way free. =)

make a living online is easy, but if you want to enjoy the comforts of life, I don't think that is a good idea.

That's only one thousand dollars a year per website or blog, so that is not that great. If you said $50,000 from one web site ! then you are cooking with gas.

I think first you should go to some English lessons so that if you write anything on a website or forum people it makes sense, and that people can understand you.

And you also have to realise that if someone works out how to make a living on line they are not going to tell everyone else how to do it, or else then we will all be making a living on line and getting the money from where ?

I had a website for 6 months and got about $2.00 in total from Google, so as it did not reach $100 they did not pay me at all and I closed the website. So you are doing quite well for a beginner ! Keep going.

What everyone has to realise is that we all cannot go "online" and make money from each other ! Do you pay anyone to use their website ? Hell even Murdoch can't get people to pay to visit his website !

Google make 6 billion dollars a year, but 3 billion people are online each year, so they are making 2 dollars off of each person. That's great ! But the number of people that can come up with an amazing business idea such as those two guys did is about ... 1 a year.

So I'll be worrying much more about monetizing them in the new year. Interesting. Goodluck .

I make a living online either and I want to learn more especially about monetization. Kindly check some of our websites. Thanks!

The e-books really need to be of high quality though. I've seen some very basic, poorly written e-books before and they were not worth what people paid for them unfortunately.

I made a few grand out of cookie stuffing a few years ago. It was fun while it lasted (especially being a poor student at the time) but I was always worried that I'd eventually be caught out and the income would dry up - I was, and it did

I make a comfortable living online and have done for the past 3 years but it certainly won't see me retiring before I hit 30. In the New Year Im planning to look into starting a subscription based forum as I think that can offer a healthy return once up and running.

I love forums and am in quiet a few I have never seen a subscription based one. It would need to have pretty compelling content for people to pay, as people are so used to getting free content on the web nowadays.

One thing that I can suggest is your mailing list. It's more brilliant than any other methods. Imagine if you have a mailing list with 30K members. Send them one product, Some will will buy it.

I think what I've earned online does not even close to or represent a small fraction of what I'm getting from my 8 to 5 job. However, it's still fun though maintaining a website.

You would be able to make a regular extra income
If so please pm me.

Am amused at the amount of money being depicted at most of the sales pitches promoting the get rich instantly schemes. The point is all the sales pitch is done on some of the reputed sites. Again researching thoroughly using the search engines would get you most of the content promised in those sales pitches.

Money not spent unnecessarily is also money saved/money made.

I regestered my company this in October and my advertising fee has been running for 2 months. I have made just over 1,000 dollars so far. So $500.00 a month for the first 2 months are not bad.

I run a travel website http://www.thai-discovery.com have 2 affiliate programs which I have just joined this week. I will also do my own tour bookings.

For me to succed I think I will need to build my forum a lot more, if I can get hundreds of people coming I think selling advertisement will be easier.

Can someone give me some suggestions how what else I could add?
