A friend of mine launched a website that relates to yours and he's had some ups and downs.
He started well like you, but then it dropped. I started helping him out with customer service inqueries and things started picking up again. After a month of better CS things remained steady for one reason, if received new clients b/c of great CS, but there wasn't a reason to stay at his site. Other sites offered the same things and are more established, so people go elsewhere.
So, have good CS and try to offer something new to users. If you can't offer anything new, offer simple features and a simple control panel to find things they're looking for.
You could also email members who signed up, but never used the service.
