Ok, so I set up this website for a charity project that I'm helping with and I got this email from this company called NPR: The Broadcast Email Corporation and the email reads as follows:
"christmas is coming...
email advertise like this to 8,000,000 people this week for free..
www (dot) broadcastemailingagency (dot) com/" (i can't post URLs yet)
So firstly, where did they get this email address (i'm assuming from the website?)
And secondly, the fact that they spammed me, is it not likely then that they spam the 8million people they claim to reach in a week?
If i were to sign up with them assuming that it isn't spamming and it turns to that it is in fact spamming, how does that affect me or my domain?
Have any of you made use of this email marketing strategy?
