Hi,
I wanted to get peoples thoughts on this....
I have a myspace friend adder which is AJAX based and runs right in the browser (check out the review on www
.bot reviewer
.com ).
I was looking at ways to monetize it, and had the following concept...
www
.socialnetbot.com
/sntpublic/freefriends.aspx
Basically, it's a featured profile page integrated with the adder. Casual myspace users can come in on a daily or weekly basis and add 50 new friends at no cost. However, with high traffic, the featured profiles themselves could end up with 1,000's of friend requests....so you then sell the featured profile slot for $$.
It's basically a train on steroids.
So the hypothesis is this:
assume
1) the site can get 2,500+ unique users per day
2) I can get $10 per slot per day (2,500 adds per day)
3) I can sell all 50 slots each day
Then $10 * 50 slots * 30 days = $15K per month.
I'm also considering a franchise type business where marketers pay me a flat monthly fee and I set up + host a featured profile page for them, they sell the slots and keep the revenue they make.
Does this sound feasable or am I smoking crack?
Cheers.
