I just created a new account yesterday. I used a bot to request 25 new friends. Today the account was deleted and the blanket email sent for TOS violation.

What gives? I can think of two possibilities. One they are tracking ip addresses or two they are seeing how fast you are making requests for friends too many in a short time results in a red flag.

Thoughts?

I guess that's the answer.

I had one of my accounts flagged for abuse, but the funny thing is I don't use it that much. I did test a bot with it, and had 50 pending friend requests all within 1 minute, which is a bit of a give away! Also, the friend requests were about 2 weeks old, so it looks like, if people are not accepting your adds and you have a big chunk of pending requests all within a few minutes, then it's a big red flag to myspace.

It might be a good idea to clean out pending requests if they were not accepted within a few days to hide your tracks.

I just created another new account and manually requested 25 new friends. I'm interested to see if it gets flagged or deleted.

I'm going to hold off using the bots for a couple of days and see what happens.
And see if anyone else is seeing this problem.

Ya - you guys give mySpace WAY to much credit.

They are lazy and miss the obvious all day long. If they were tracking IP's i'd be broke long ago. I have dozens of accounts with thousands of pending requests.

The problem is these out of the box bots. They all leave footprints and do very little to disguise their activity. mySpace shuts down the five main bots with a few simple changes and kills 90% of the annoying spam on their site for a few days.

Pimps roll their own people. Do it up right or don't do it. But time staggers in their, rotate proxies, and don't use out of the box software and expect to make much more than pocket money. Use the pocket money to get some real scripts written. Teach a man to fish and all that right.

O whoops... wait. I mean. Ya - mySpace will detect if you request too many friends. The gig is up. Nothing to see here. Move along.
