How I quit my Job

Hello EF members,

I'm a regular high school student. I had to start out with a type of job where I was paid around 9 dollars per hour. I didn't have any flexibility with my schedule, my manager put whatever time he needed me to come. The people for the next shift didn't arrive on time and I had to wait an extra thirty minutes for them to arrive. There were no breaks either. I was getting frustrated with this type of job because I wasn't really treated good.

I started looking for other methods to earn money. I wanted to earn money for my college funds, so I started looking online. I found that there were many many ways to make money online. I taught my self web-designing/website development and started my own website. I heard about Google Ads and started placing them on my website. My website received around 800-1000 uniques per day. It was on my favorite TV show, and I submitted it to good topsites also. I ended up earning $50 the first month, and $100 the next month. It was nice getting the $150 from Google Adsense. I was content with the earnings I got from the web.

I started developing other websites with different subjects and slowly started earning more. I quit my job once I figured out that I could earn the same amount online, and I could be my own boss too. I had a lot of free time too. I improved my web development skills through forums like SitePoint. Since then I've learned a lot about search engines, cpc ads, cpa ads, and other ways to make money on the web. I've been earning at least $100/mo.

Start your own website, make good content, and advertise. I earned money this way and you can too. The Internet is a place where you can make tons of money, you just need to find a way to make it. The guy who did the Million Dollar Page was able to earn a lot of money. You can too. Come up with your own idea, do not wait.

very inspiring,i am in same sitiuation,trying to make a buck on the web, high schooler same, and you really gave me hope so thx, and i will have to feature this thread on my youtube and on my website.

I'm also in the same position, minus the job. All I've managed to do was make $35 from adsense in a couple of months last year. I'm trying again now.

Yes, there must associate with a certain level of risk.
Take care and I suggest to do it as a part time basis.

ya i've also heared about million dollar page it started revolution in pixel advertising.

Well it stinks that your old boss didnt treat you well but congrats with your new job, i agree that one of the best things of this job is that you are your own boss

I have been doing this for a while but did not quit my job since I couldn't

Paying 3-4k in bills a month isn't easy... it can be done via Adsense YPN but on the other hand they can suspend your account on a flick of a key. So that leads me to say always have backup resources.
