That's right, I've never had a job, unless the time I got $100 for painting the entire house counts as a job. I actually didn't know you could make money online even when I started making websites. I wondered why my band's geocities/.tk website had so many ads. I soon learned you could make money by displaying ads on your site, I used to think they were just to annoy people.

My first .com website made $7 on adsense the first day, and that's when I realized I could make a living online. I did the math, $7 x 30 days = $210 a month. Assuming I quadruple my revenue eventually since the website was in its infancy, I'd be making $840 a month. Well silly me, that day didn't come as fast as I wanted it so I sold my website. With the knowledge I have right now I know I could be earning a lot more with it.

Either way, I simply created more websites. A few communities, which is hard to bombard with ads because people complain. It was even harder because I've gotten close to my members. That's when I decided to create other types of sites like arcades, MySpace resource sites, and other annoying sites. Adsense/YPN, 3 CPM banners, a pop-up, sneaky affiliate offers, and maybe an interstitial. That's when the real money started rolling in.

The best part was that I did it all while sitting on my bum! While my friends worked in places like Toys R' Us or Starbucks I still made more than them. I had a friend who had two jobs and I still made more. The money was good, but the best part is that I have free time to enjoy life. I hate using my friends as examples because I love them, but on weekends when we're supposed to be having fun, they'd be working. What a boring life for them huh?

The internet is a great place to make money work for you. What do I mean? Well on my senior year I didn't have much time to makes sites, so I pretty much put the project on hold, but I still got those checks every month even by not working as much.

Seriously people, just read everything on this forum and others, and you will have all the knowledge to make money online. All you need to do is stop thinking about it and actually get some work done! Don't be lazy, it's very easy. It's not like you'll be out in the sun picking cherries, you'll be sitting on your bum all day. I repeat, YOU'LL BE SITTING ON YOUR BUM, how hard is that!? We all have a brain, so start using it.

Note: I did all of this before I even became an adult, which was 2 days ago.

Yeah, I go all out on most sites. I don't put pop ups if they get less than 1k uniques though.

Adsense by itself just doesn't cut it. What if you get banned? You need to diversify, the same reason why MySpace sites is not the only type of sites I own.

Well, you won't get banned if you follow the rules. What about CPM companies which ones do you use on your myspace sites?

ValueClick, or CPX interactive for the sites that don't get accepted into VCM, usually because they don't get enough traffic.

Most part of the times people have real life jobs and find web advertising as their extra cash makers. Sometimes people have a very good performance over web that they really dont need their real life jobs anymore, yet like in real life to have a good revenue on web you must dedicate your will to it and make a big effort. Winning money will never be easy wherever you seek it
