probably been asked a lot of times , going mad as worked fine in firefox but buttons not opening in IE what changes do I need to make

Well I guess you are talking about the left side button,

What you are doing is confusing probably the hell out of IE
you have a link wrapped around an button (input element) this is something that the engineers of IE had never thought possible, and it is not

I assume you want the button inside to make your links look like buttons right ?

I suggest get rid of the input elements and style your links to look like buttons

Man, I know this isn't in website review, but your site is very unfriendly and visually confusing to IE and the human eye. In the code there is like a mile of empty space
