Yeah, but so many of those programmers are under par and with no one really "in charge" there is mayhem, I've seen it happen and it's sad.
Windows is better than Linux, why else would Linux copy it?
Opera > Firefox

I would vote, but you don't have my favorite browser on the poll: Mozilla.
I don't mean Firefox, I mean Firefox's precursor, the Mozilla suite.

Unfortunately it's no only updated as they are focusing more on developing Firefox. Firefox is a good small footprint browser, but I wish they would put some of Mozilla's features on Firefox.

I love the easily accessible cookie, password, popup, etc. manager tools on Mozilla. In Firefox, you have to open up and search through the option settings. For example, I often permanantely block cookies on most sites when I come to them. But when I later return to a site whose cookies I've rejected, I can just quickly to to the cookie manager and reset the default cookie setting for that site.

Or maybe there's a Firefox extension to add all those managers on the browser menu?

A few facts about Firefox:
  • It's not standards compliant (there is no degrees of support - you either are compliant or not)
  • The memory leak is a feature - why? And if it's so fast, how come Opera owns it at starting up and loading pages without tweaks!
  • The 80+ ram it consumes just to run is rediculous, even though I have 2GB of the stuff.
  • Mary Poppins would not even look at it.
  • It's not way more secure, in fact it is potential just as insecure as IE http://news.com.com/Symantec+Mozilla...3-5873273.html

A few facts about Opera:
  • It's standards compliant
  • It provides digital zooming of pages, opposed to font-size increases
  • Built in support for IRC, Mail and BitTorrent
  • Half the memory footprint of Firefox and NO memory leaks
  • It doesn't claim to be anything it's not.

So yeah, Opera for Windows. Konqeuror for Linux. Safari for Mac. No FIREFOX!

Mooofasa, couldn't have said it better myself. The only thing Opera needs to improve is the pure HTML loading times, those are rather low, but I find with the average page (which uses JS, XHTML, CSS, Flash and what not) it is faster than any browser I've ever used.
