And usually there is a community behind it that is helpful when you pass by and ask a question.
I know what open source means, I write it myself and think it's great, but many peole just assume because it is open source it is better. And there is so much open source that is crap and not up to par with other free or commercial software out there. Like Open Office compared to MS Office and Firefox compared to Opera.
Opera bugs are fixed really fast and the community is fantastic. Then again there are barely bugs anyway.

I love firefox and its add-ons like everyone has already talked about.
Also, did you know you can download themes for firefox? I love it. I have cats at home and a pink theme at work.

I find that the users here, webmasters, love FF and Opera more than other people.

Firefox. I've used Opera on and off for years but don't like it.

Open Source is horrible. The problem being that because there is no pay, often the code will be lacking the quintessential structure that commercial software has. I've seen some good open source (program and code wise), but most of them just can't compare to the programs people get paid for to develop.
Does Mozilla pay the Fx developers? They certainly have the moeny to do so.

I love Safari...it is a lot quicker with my high speed internet connection than Fire Fox.

Think of it this way. With open source you have programmers all over the world working and editing the code. Paid programming companies only have so many employees to work on the program

Linux > Windows

Firefox > IE

Apache > IIS

IE7 is the best and widely used. But Firefox is also a good browser.

I use them all and I hate them all - if you want your site to look the same in all of those browsers you got to spend a lot of time optimizing...
