i have been messing with this and i can't figure out whats wrong with it. First I had it looking good with firefox and not in IE then i added my drop down menu bar and now it the image is not placed right in IE. can someone with both browsers help me out here by viewing the source? Don't worry about the markup in tables, its a test site.

Looking at it with FF 2.0 and IE 6 and I don't see any real differences.

I guess I should have specified. at the top left corner of the first drop down menu, there is an image who's placement is too high, slightly.. I'm trying to bring it down

why don't you put the image as css background for the td? you have much more control, then, over positioning.
