on http://patspoker.awardspace.com/forums i put some code in the file to display the rankings, is there some way to get that to "float" along the left side of the screen so it doesn't push down all of the other stuff?

<table style="float: left"> should do it. Also, it shouldn't be the very first piece of code on the page.

Mind you, this may not be the smartest way to do it. Why not make a thread on your forum that's locked to new posts (in other words, the post itself can be edited but no one can reply) and have the table in the only post?

Sure it does. But like Adam said, it kinda messes up the look of the site with it hangin out by itself.

is there some way to make it just chill at the top left corner and when you scroll down the page it will always be in the top corner, so it is always visible?

I agree that you shouldn't have it as the first bit of code on the site.

Maybe try moving it down in to the <body> section of the site. And then try floating it again.

Uh, I believe you need to use DHTML or something similar to make it float with the user as they scroll? Not too sure...
