Hi everyone. I have a scrolling text box on my site using div tags, but I'm just wondering if there is any way of having a box that scrolls sideways rather than up and down? Have changed the parameters etc but doesn't work.

Cheers

G

I'll be honest that I don't know why you'd what to do this, but if I'm interprettng you right you would want to use css on the div:

{overflow: scroll-x}

Yeah, basically, just like when you use div tags so that you scroll within a box rather than the whole screen scrolling, I want to do the same but with sideways scrolling. I basically don't want the main scroll bars on the bottom and left odf the screen to work at all, jsut a scroll bar along the bottom of a box or table so that the content inside moves and everything else on the screen stays put.

Then you do want to wrap the content in a div and use the overflow property. It's the horizontal part that I'm questions. People generally don't like to scroll horizontally, but I suppose their are applications where it makes sense.
