Okay; heres how it works.
I'm a professional web designer; my sites include: Unofficial Invision Power Board User Guide, ChocoLovers, Inc., http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/4777/tempup1.jpg, and http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/6163/finalub5.jpg.

The prize is a fully free professional designed & coded in standardized HTML. PHP and MySQL is at the contest winners complete discression and we will not provide hosting or domain names for this website.

To enter the competition; which the winner will be announced in exactly 1 week (Next Saturday), you must have a cause. A cause can include a number of things:

• We have a really bad shape website and its driving away customers!
• We are a non profit organization with a cause
• All of our profits go to orphans

We are really looking for something like the bold one up there; hoping to make a website to replace an extremly old one that is in bad shape; however read below;

Anything is a cause; and the person with the best cause; as determined by my team of 3 web designer friends who will be helping on this project as well; will win the website. Definatly most non profits entering will win. More than one website can win; if we feel 2 or 3 have extremly good causes this is why we have 4 web designers & coders!

To enter; reply here; tell us in detail your cause. Link us to anything you have that prooves your real; a logo; a scanned buisness card; an old website; anything and everything. Being polite is also nice; demanding a free website will get you no where fast!

Theres no catch; nothing of the sort. This is the competition I would imagine seeing 2,000 entries which is why there is a week contest entry deadline. Submit your entries fast as well; although all entries will be judged those who submit requests earlier than others do have priority if it comes down to a large number of sites chosen by the judges.

IF ChocoLovers is an example of your 'standardized HTML', then I wouldn't want even a freebie, sorry. That site does not validate, has no DOCTYPE, it's all tables, and full of deprecated code. That is hardly 'standards' compliant.. not TODAY'S standards anyway.

I'm sure there are plenty of folks who will jump at the chance, but that doesn't mean they're getting a site based on current web technology.. which is what 'web professionals' SHOULD be designing.
