My main text body fits into the content container in IE but in Firefox shifts far over to the right.

Any ideas how to fix this?

thanks

my suggestion would be to get rid of the tables and use CSS to build your layout, might be easier to find your problem then without wading through all the tables code, tables always gave me a headache
ETA: your layout would be very simple with CSS and easily cross browser compatible.

When I added:

.content table {
float:left;
background:#fff
}

to the css it lined up the way you want in Firefox. I'm not sure what it will do in IE though.

You've got a decent layout going there.. why muck it up with tables ?? You're not that far from going totally CSS for your layout, that one would be relatively easy.
