My site's left-hand side navigation has not been loading properly the last week or so. My webmaster is looking into it for me. I am using internet explorer and seeing the problem. He wants to see if it is also happening in firefox or netscape.

So, if anyone here has one of those browers, I would really appreciate if you could load my site a few times and let me know if you see a problem with the left-side navigation loading.

Janet it's looking the same to me in both Firefox and IE6. It looks fine in both though so I'm not really sure what the problems is. What are you seeing the navigation doing in IE?

It looks fine in Firefox 1.5.. except the menu rollover isn't working, the color stays the same.

Thanks for checking guys. In IE when I load it, sometimes the navigation is all broken up and distorted like it didn't fully load. Are you seeing anything like that?

The menu graphcis seem to take a little longer to load in IE than in Firefox. I think it's just the order the two browsers choose to load the various element. In IE the background images do load last and until the rest of the page has loaded the meny looks a little scattered, but when it does eventually get completely loaded it looks the same in both browsers.

Thanks for taking another look at it for me. I think it may just be a problem with my computer because it is not just slow to load, it never fully loads. It is very odd. So, on your computer, it is slow to load, but eventually the navigation displays properly in IE? I will have to see what my programmer says about this. thanks again.

That's exactly what I'm seeing Janet. In IE the background behind the menu is the last thing to load, but for me it eventually loads. I'm using IE6 if I haven't mentioned it already.

I didn't see anything obvious as to why it wouldn't load.

Real silly question, how can I determine what version of IE I am using?

Sorry that's too silly so I can't answer. Just kidding.

In the menu go to Help and select About Internet Explorer. It will open a dialog box that will tell you the version you are using. You can find the version of just about any program the same way. Most will have some kind of About option under Help in the menu that will tell you what version of the program you have.
