Hello,

I am new here and trying to build a template for use on a Joomla website. The template is being pieced together from 2 different joomla templates and I now have a good understanding of Joomla templating

My question concerns Tables for templating and DIV tags.
As it is a combination of 2 diff templates, both tables and divs are used. I am now running into trouble in that with DIV I cannot position the elements as good as I can in a table. On the other side there are certain DIV styles (such as the logo and banner images) which are done via DIV tags where the links, urls, and formatting is defined in the CSS doc.

I need help with 32 things:
1. Is there any reason NOT to use only tables?
2. Does anyone have a tutorial for how to implement a template using DIV tags and limit the use of tables?

Thanks for the help.

You can use tables to do alot of things (even do a full web temp) but its not the correct way the correct way is to use div tags i dont think there is any reason for this but i could be wrong
