Hi, I am trying to teach myself Dreamweaver MX in a foreign country where "help" is not very easy! I've been doing OK but I had just finished building about 10 pages with about 12 images on each page likned to larger images, then I decided to "organise" myself and moved my pages into a folder. All of the pages moved into this folder have now lost all the design and layout , all links are broken etc...is there any way I can "undo" this or fix it or will I have to do all pages again?!
Desperate.
Thanks

You can take the files you moved and move them back into the place they were before. Just drag them all and drop them into the main site file (the one you created first)

Then try this - go into edit, then preferences, then click general. Where it says 'update preferences when moving files' change it to 'always'.

Now drag all your files to the new folder again. This worked on my MX when simply agreeing to the prompt didn't. Not sure why. Hope it works for you.

Hey Dan,
Thanyou so much for getting back to me. I have dragged the files back to their original location and changed my preferences, this has worked for some pages but not for others which I can't figure out? Any other advice would be welcome!
Thanks again

Hi

Did you solve it yet? I'm not sure why it works for some not others. Is there anything different about the links, content etc of the pages that it didnt work for?
