How to put high quality graphics

Here's my wesite address again (new menu, no frames now):

I created the two graphics in the header using CorelDraw and exported them as .jpg with top resolution.

Yet they still appear jagged.

I'm testing the page on a 1084 x 768 resolution.

How can I get slick smooth graphics on a page using this resolution?

resolution isn't really an issue ... you need to create your graphics with anti-aliasing options enabled. this will gradiantly smooth the edges. check your graphic program's manual for details.

i've never used coreldraw .. 100% photoshop here

corel draw is a vector program, one of the best vector programs when photoshop 4 was around. just enable antialiasing as kisk said

you really need a raster (opposed to vector) program for web graphics. try to get Photoshop or even Photoshop elements ... if you can't afford either, get Gimp

I tried anti-aliasing but it had no effect.

Trying Photoshop next.
