Meta Keywords?

I've read an article that Yahoo is using the keyword metatag google and microsoft live do not.

They also did a test (couldnt find the link :S) but he put
<meta name=”keywords” content=”qiskodslajdmnkd, ddakaieciuaj jkdalladpaoaw, wdaopeqndlkakljad” /> into a website and watched what happend.

Het then searched in search engines with the keyword qiskodslajdmnkd.

Google: Couldn't find the website conclusion: google doesn't use it
Microsoft Live: Couldn't find the website conclusion: Live doesn't use it
Yahoo: The website was found
Ask: The website was found

I add it in but only because I have always done so. I know it doesn't matter THAT much. If anything I use it to confuse potential competitors who may be less knowledgable...throw them off the scent a bit!

So do you think that it hurts the page to have them? Should we just leave them off?

It really makes no difference either way.
