i am using a dreamweaver extension to allow me to load an external url into a layer. the file which will be loading into this layer has a link on it to open up a flash file. this works fine on the file its self, before it has been loaded into the layer. once it is loaded into the layer the file "cannot be found" and it is looking in the wrong place for it.

does anyone know why this is??

most errors like this happen cos of bad linking..

check whether the linking url points to the proper location of the file and also make sure that the external file resides in ur site folder..

if u got a code or something which we can it will be of more help.

yeah got it now thanks, turns out you have to link it using the path from the html file it will be loaded into.

Now that i am testing it on the servers i noticed that when the external html file is loading into the target layer a the small image icon appears on the top left corner (the one that is a white square with a circle, square and triangle in it) this only happens when the file is loading up, it goes away when it has been loaded.

is there a simple code to remove this from sight?
