2nd attempt at the post...
First off, I'm an extreme newbie, trying to teach herself in vain, it seems. I can do your basic HTML coding, tables, frames, etc, I understand all of that just fine. Beyond that, though, when you get into more of the complicated aspects, like css, etc, I'm a little lost.

This is my skin and bones part of the project. What I *want* to do is have the links on the left direct the text over the center part of the page, roughly where the _r4_c5 image is, leaving the head on the right hand side to be left alone.
I think I'm going about it the wrong way, but I'm having trouble coming up with alternative solutions, and I have no idea how to get the content on there...
I want the background image to be fixed. Ideally, the scrolling will be done just within that rectangle, so the scroll bar won't be all the way on the left, but if that can't be done I can deal with it.
I thought about using frames, but I wouldnt be able to get the image to be constant as a background using them.
The rollovers are a part of the background image because I couldn't get the transparencies to display properly for the text.
I also know that the image doesnt display well for anything other than 800x600 screen res. I'm still wrestling with how to fix that, but I don't think that will be a problem.
I tried to read up on css tutorials, but since I don't know how to FIX the problem, I had no idea what to look for.
Is what I'm looking for even possible? (does it even make sense?)
