The best way would be using PHP and MySQL..I dont think its possible in just HTML

If you have access to PHP and MySQL..

You can use phpbb which is a free forum coding..

I know of a web-site that distributes a program called: invision-board

I have downloaded it, but never actually put it to use. People tell me that they are pretty nice forums.

www.invisionboard.com

Give her a try and let me know how things turn out.

Your probably best going to phpbb.com as said before. You will need to learn at least some PHP in order to change the settings of the forum. Check this site for tutorials:

www.w3schools.com/php

Or, you could ask someone who is into PHP to do it for you.

Take the advice from Dark-Skys99 (1st reply)... phpbb is the one. Easy to configure and customizable - also loads of templates are available.

...or if you really want the easy way out you can sign up for a hosting provider like Classic Web Development which has a control panel that allows you to automatically install phpbb or invision board. You can view all the other programs that can be automatically installed here.
