Am trying to make so no matter how much content I put in the container the site stretches or repeats its self to how much text i put in the index_11

That IS the default behavior on a properly coded layout. Your major problem is all that absolute positioning. AP takes the elements OUT of the normal document flow, preventing them from interacting with any other elements on the page as you want it.

Lose the absolute positioning, learn to use the normal document flow, and learn how to use floats.

just so you're not overwhelmed when you read the helpful link that LadynRed sent...floats are tricky. i've been using them for years and they still frustrate me from time to time. however, they (css) are the preferred way of doing layouts these days so give it a try. i've found yahoo! grids helpful for layout.
