So basically I have a website that works fine when I view it locally on my computer. After I upload it to the webhost via FTP, some stuff stops working. Like this one picture on the homepage doesn't show up, even though the other pictures on the homepage do show up.
Also, after a few days one of my links on the left side just disappeared out of the blue. No matter how many times I re-uplaod it the picture just wont show up. And when I check the folders using Filezilla, the pictures have been successfully uploaded and sit in their proper directory.

Im so confused can someone please help! Thank you so much,

Are you 100% certain you have the PATHS to those images specified correctly in your html ?

yes im positive. like it works fine when I view it on my computer, or any computer for that matter. its only specifically when i view it off the webserver that stuff starts going whacky.

like a few days ago the "links" page just disappeared, along with its button image. they're still on the webserver, they just refuse to show up when viewing the page in opera, firefox, or IE.

but like i said, when the page is viewed in any browser off the HD it works fine.

Well the only one i cant see is images/truck.jpg are you sure that truck.jpg is in the "images" directory??

Well, the truck.jpg image is definitely coming up as 'file not found'.

Part of your problem might be all that position:absolute, it can cause problems when used that way.

Other than that, it looks ok on my end with Firefox and IE 6.

you maybe have some image path problems...
the path is not directly goes to the images...

Another thought just crossed my mind as I was reading this ... when you designed the page did you use truck.jpg or Truck.JPG ? if you have designed this on anything other than a *nix box and the hosting is linux it WILL make a difference

there you go mate .. either change your code to the case or change the image ... personaly I would say ALWAYS use lower case ALL the time

i tryed truck.jpg Truck.jpg and TRUCK.jpg but not your one!

Photoshop has a bad habit of doing this ... but there is a option in there somewhere to "always use lower case extensions" ... now all I have to do is find it and remember to turn it on

A lot of people will do that, find a help forum, get their answer, take off, come back if ever needed
