Hi

I wish to create a flash detection page where instead of going to the macromedia site when you do not have flash, the page automtically loads the flash plugin. How is this done?

regards

Ian

I wouldn't advise trying to force someone's browser to load a pluggin, this is the same way some shaddy individuals attempt fill our harddrives with spyware and it pisses a lot of people off. People are far more likely to take a moment to download the flash plug if they are given the option.

I would personally link to the macromedia download with a little message about downloading flash if not already installed. Like cmonkey said, people get a little frustrated by pop up 'downloads' which are sometimes porn dialers or spyware.
