Does anyone know of any programs for converting a Word document or a PDF document into HTML code.

I have a pretty comjplex form that someone built in Word and I want to convert it to HTML. The "Save As Webpage" option in Word really sucks.

I have two formats of this form. I have it in Word and in PDF, so either converter would be fine.

I've never heard of anything that works that way...
And if you need the form to have check, or processing, the convertion would not render them anyway, so I think it would just be faster to render back the page in HTML.

Render back as HTML? Not sure what you meant by that.

Or.. get a copy of Dreamweaver, it has tools that will clean up all that proprietary Word crap code.

Thank you LadynRed. That was the type of answer I was looking for.

Not re-code the form that is already made, the point of my question was if there was a way to avoid that. I already knew that my other option was re-code the whole form, I was trying to avoid that.

Sharpen up your replies trippy!

Keith I would have told you the same things Thierry said about coding it from scratch. No need to tell someone their answer wasn't as good as you would have liked.

I know I didn't realize DeamWeaver would clean up Word's garbage and knowing now I still would prefer recoding. Something tells me the clean up won't be perfect and you might still need to get your hands into the code.

My point though is none of us know everything so sometimes you may not get the answer you want. Thierry was only trying to help.

Hey, notepad's the ultimate tool for everything !

I read news with notepad, I write code with notepad, I think in notepad, I eat notepad, I sleep with notepad !

Erm... Forget the last one...

No, seriously man, no need to be rude.
I'm a linux guy, and havent touched DW since 1998.
Last time I even approached word, it was in office 97 running windows 95, and I really don't miss it.

From your first post, I understood that you wanted something that when you give it an word or pdf file, create you an html page that match the exact content of the file.
In that sense, it would have been quickier to rewrite it.

And no need to use DW to cleanup HTML.
Tidy does a perfect job for that.

You can even get firefox to do that autmatically for you:

Open your word generated html content, ctrl+u for the sources, and hit "cleanup the page" to get a cleaned up version of your document.
