nothing as far as I know you use the logo to brand your product It's like if you think of lucky charms cereal you automatically think of the leprechaun which is the logo.

that is mostly the same logo really represent the what kind of business do you have for the people to easily identify the type of business that you have so it means to say logo really the best way to make your business known and identify

I find the wikipedia definition of brand to be quite comprehensive and always use it to explain the term to my clients.
