That looks like a drawn image in the Anime style. Can you post a link to the original?

ok.

New File> 6x6 Pixels. transparent background.
Use the pencil, to fill the right wall, and the bottom, (one pixel
like

| ||
|___||
--------

press Control+A
Edit>Define Patern>name it GRID

close the file no need of saving.

go back to your original image and make a new layer.

Then
EDIT>FILL>PATERN>GRID>OK

then play around with the layers Opacity, and Function.

I see he used Photoshop but that fade can also be done with Paint Shop Pro.

Hmm I will have to try that in Paint Shop Pro. I will as soon as time allows and post my results.

Yes I know you don't but I do pretty exclusively. I have three different registered version of it on this PC.

Your 'lesson' on how to do it sounds like it uses much the same things as in PSP: filters, grids, opacity, layers, etc.

Just finding the time to play with something new is the hard part for me LOL.

Drachewyn, you show a lot of pride in using Paint Shop Pro =) I'm going to try the latest one and see how it is. I might download, I mean buy it if it's good.
