Hi I have a premade logo that is in bitmap form. I have attatched the logo. How do I get rid of the white background so I can place it on a black page and only see the sphere, letter, and rings? I have fireworks that I am pretty familiar with and photoshop that is brand new to me. Can anyone help?

If you know you are always going to use a black background, just paint the background black.

However, if you feel you need transparency you can convert the image to a transparent gif file. The only downside is you will be dropped to a 256 color image.
