First of all, this is a total newbie question and I don't even know if it belongs in this forum, so please just bear with me. I have a flash video (actually it began as a motion movie, exported as quicktime, then exported as flash video) that I would like to use as an intro. I'm using dreamweaver to build the site. Ideally, what I want to happen is for the video to play and then disappear, leaving the regular page behind. My first thought was to put the flash video on a layer, have it automatically play, and then hide the layer when it was over. The movie played beautifully, but wouldn't go away. I then tried to add the behavior of just playing the movie and then opening a different URL, but that didn't work, either. I have issues with the timeline in dreamweaver and I'm not that knowledgeable about coding. It's like I'm in kindergarten trying to do this. I've done plenty of graphic design for the web, and I have made plenty of movies and animations in motion, but I am new to flash. I would be ever so grateful if someone would take pity on me and tell me how to do this or point me in the direction of a tutorial on flash intros. Thank you so much.
