Let me preface this by saying I don't know a darn thing about graphics... I have been using Paintshop Pro to do "word" gifs and I don't know a vector from a rastor and I really don't want to have to learn all of that... :-(

So... I don't like PsP...seems too complicated and I have had problems with clarity of lettering on many of the gifs I have created. (Yep, probably operator error...lol)

Lots of times I can find graphics to use, but I need to make some logos...can't afford to have someone do it for me, and some banners. There has to be a simpler and better program...doesn't there? I'm not looking to do anything hugely complex, and maybe its just simply that I need to take the time to learn more about a program...but before I even try to do that, I would like some input from folks who do graphics creation....

What program would YOU recommend? (cheap or free is good...grin)

I would recomend Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for logos and for creating graphics... but they are complicated.

Theres a good program (very easy to use) called Ulead Photoimpact. you should try that. i think it cost about $50 and you can download trial version from their web site.
