Hello all-

I am working with a website template, which also has its graphics in .psd form for easy changes. The problem is, I don't have Adobe PS. I have MM Fireworks 3.0, which is suppose to work with .psd files. However, once I import the graphics, they do not show. They are invisible. They are not clickable. Know any tricks to help me get to work on this?...and none of that, "Sure, I know a trick...go buy Photoshop!"

Does anyone know of a free graphics converter, which will convert from .psd to .png while retaining the layers?

I have read about Gimp, but am not running Linux locally and could not find a "download Gimp for Windows here" link on the "Gimp for Windows" page. All I can find are pluggin downloads for the gif and TIFF files.

There could be some special effects on the layers that Fireworks can't work with...

Recommend you get Photoshop.

Or ask the person who gave you the template to buy Fireworks.

Can you export a .psd as a .png? If so, the giver could save a working copy for you. (?)

I'm hooked. It is verrrrrrry nice. I'll have to upgrade soon.
