Did'ya know that PowerPoint files can be uploaded to your Web Server in their Native Format (animations and all) it can have it's own URL and be cached by Google...
Tip # 2
If you would like to take a screen shot of a Web Page and either EDIT it -
or simply add it to a word or powerpoint file -
here is a technique I have been using for the last SIX years
1- first bring up the WEB PAGE
2- Then press "print screen/SysRq" - which is the third button from tne right on the very top of most keyboards /
Or press "Shift" & "print screen" simultaneously for a full window sscreenshot
3- "paste" or "control V" into either "photo editor" " Windows image viewer"
Word PowerPoint etc.
4- if you would prefer to make the screen shot One Jpg Gif or Png or Tiff by itself
5- open PowerPoint first - change the page layout to the size you want the image to be
6- Paste the image
7- then "select all" put you cursor on the "connecting lines" Group
Use both the "control" and "shift" key to RESIZE the image -- then save to trhe desired format
8- if minor editing is needed you can access the "drawing" and "photo" editing tools that come natively into Word and PowerPoint.
Tip # 3
PhotoShop Illustrator FireWorks etc. has impressive text design ability
However PowerPoint's Word Art has Easy to Use and Superior Design potential that has not been widely publize
Create Your Text/Design Including any Transparent effects you would like
Copy & Paste or save as a PNG and import into PhotShop Illustrator etc.
Resample the 72 dpi into 288 - bicubic- ( A FOUR times increase preserves clarity)
You will have many options that are not availble in PhotoShop or Illustrator and a much more "perfect" design
You can do some text art in Word Art using the "Advanced" feature for some special 3d, shadow and shaping effects...
You can also import photos into the vectorized Word art...
Additionally, the "line art" or peformed drawings are very very convenient ....
You can sometimes import the basic artwork into photshop or Quark to further enhance the work by adding their effects...
Nah believe it or not PowerPoint has the same potential as flash as long as everything graphical is imported from another program. Its a cheaper alternative for animating as long as you have photoshop or something to import every picture in from.
