I recently downloaded GIMP 2.8 which is open source and totally free. It is a phenomenal program. I'm finding that I'm using it more than my Photoshop. Check it out. Lisa

I do use Gimp on an occasion, you sure can't beat the price! They also have some real nice tutorials.....

Why?

Yes, GIMP is a really good alternative to photoshop, and since its open source, its free! So for those of you who don't want to spend much, but want to get basic photo editing done, i think GIMP is really good!

Yup, it's all I use these days. I've used Photoshop for probably the past 10 years or so but GIMP is really a pretty amazing program considering the non-existent price tag. Plus it has loads of plugins too.

I will need something really special to go back to paying big money for Photoshop at this point.
