Where can i get free fonts?

I have been looking around online for free fonts but i can not find any that i like and the ones i do like always have rules for using them.

I am looking for fonts that are 100% free, that i can do whatever i want with them.

Does anyone know of any websites online like this where i can get free fonts?

Go to 100fonts.com. there you will get many free fonts.

I like how 1001freefonts.com shows you giant previews of the font before you download it.

I went to those sites you guys mentioned and anytime i downloaded a font and read the txt file with it the font was not free to use for commercial purposes, i need fonts where i can make graphics and freely use for whatever i want.

Now here is what i can not figure out, on this forum, i believe in the graphics contest section their are tons of people using fonts that i have seen online that are not free to make other people banners and stuff, where do they get their fonts from?

Go to google and type in Free Fonts.
You will get a list of websites to select from.
When u enter a site u will be able to search and download any font ur eye catches.
Save the file to desktop.
On an XP Computer open up control Panel, fonts and then drag and drop the file u downloaded into that folder.
On a vista Computer open up control Panel, classic view, fonts and do the same as xp.
After that you may need to restart ur computer so that they may take effect.

I usually buy my fonts or create them myself but I know dafont is a popular one that I've heard of people using quite a bit.

Agreed, but you know the best way to find things online is with Google.com - Have you heard about it? It's a search engine that allows you to search the internet for whatever you're looking for! It's pretty amazing actually you should try it!

If you want to use a font commercially, you need to buy them or ask permission to its author or designer.
If you just want to use it on your graphics on forum sigs or blog, then you can freely use them.

I have downloaded a lot of fonts over the years Knight, but out of curiosity I went to check my zipped up fonts to see how many had a text file included. I would say 98% had no text file included, one did and said it was for personal use only, another one had a text file and said use freely.

Also I have purchased Corel Clipart Software some years back which was loaded with fonts. Some of the fonts that are offered now for commercial use and have a huge price tag on them, I have through this Corel Software.

first of all why are you looking for help here...just give a search in google..all your help will be at your hand...but as have seeked for it..so try 1001fonts,dafonts,free-fonts are some of the popular sources though there are many more

I usually choose free fonts from getfreefonts.info.They offer wide variety of free fonts. I think many sites like this offers free fonts. Some examples are 1001 freefonts, urbanfonts etc.You can choose one from this.

dafont.com is a free font website. My brother usually goes there if he needs to add some fonts that he needs in designing a company logo and he download there for free.
