As the title says, looking for some constructive criticism for my blog layout, especially the main text area. Is it ok like it is, or too simple etc?

I love the colours and the city/flower manip.
The text is really good too, but i think you should make it a little easier to read.

Looks cool. I am assuming the page will be centered without all that to the left an such?

The start(left side) of the "blog name" is a little hard to read. I love it over the city though.

It makes me feel dizzy.
And I can't read the left side of your header.

racer x: I was planning to have it aligned to the right. Does it look weird? I hadn't considered centering it, but I'm gonna try giving it a go later to see how it looks.

It appears that the left side of the header is hard to read. It's fine on my monitor, but I'm using a mac with a bright screen. I'll up the contrast a bit.

Sexy! And yeah, just bump up the contrast on the logo a bit. Remember, mac's have different gamma settings than most other computers.

As I look at the layout both aligned to the right and centered, I find that I like the slightly unconventional right aligned one better. It just works better for this layout.
Gonna go for that one, and then make a centered more regular one for the people who can't get used to stuff sitting on the right side of the screen.

I actually like the right-aligned version, it's different and that's not a bad thing. I think the centered version detracts from the effect of the graphic.

I like the design overall. Very nice relaxing colors that are easy to look at. I feel there is something missing and I'm not sure what it is. Perhaps if you work on the header more implementing different typography (text) elements it could make it stronger.

howzit, just looked at the pages..The page needs to be aligned right, otherwise it completely destroys the effect you are trying to capture. You should stretch ur upside down city more towards the centre and change the colour of "The Limo" part of the text..should be a little more eyecatching. Awesome design on the overall though..
