photoshop works great.
you can always search in google and mamma under images for thumbnails of whatever you like (ie: sports,cars,cartoons)

and you can then save that and edit it if you wish.

I started to say just reduce the big one down to 50x50 or so, but I think you would lose most of the detail. Well, I'm sure you would lose the detail.

But it would be worth a try.
