That may be true. I've played around with the new cs3 only briefly.
![]() In previous versions I do know that FW was better at optimizing images. A jpg saved at 80% in FW had a much smaller filesize than that same image saved at 80% in PS.

That does'nt import it. It opens it in a new window then you have to cut it, close that window and paste it with PS. With Fireworks you can work from the same window.
