Here's my web site, www.global-uniforms.com, if you browse the product categories on the left, you will see that the images load very slowly, yet the files are not that big, about 60Kb each...
Any suggestions as to how I can make them load faster or in such a way that looks a bit more professional?

They didn't actually load that slowly for me, just a fraction of a second. You could try preloading them in the header which will slow the page load time but will make all the elements appear at once. You could also look at your hosting, if it's on a slow server with limited bandwidth it will take longer to serve the images.

Don't mean to have a go but have you actually looked at the code behind this site. It is obviously written using some Microsoft offering, in-fact it looks a lot like some rubbish outputted by word. (Please don't say you have used word to create a website?)

I think this may be part of your image display (Slowness) problem, the browser has to process so much unneeded HTML code that it is slowing down the whole page loading. On an underpowered machine this could seem like a long time. The actual images are not particularly big and don't need compressing AFAICS (I've not checked them all) but you could easily create pages that were 20 or 30 times smaller in terms of code (And I'm not kidding).

Loads fast for me. Maybe it's your connection or your host was experiencing a problem at that time.

it loaded real fast for me. I like the site to. simple and to the point.

The text loads faster than the images. I don't see a long delay. You could optomize some of those image a bit for a faster load. 40kb for a towel might be a little more detail than you need.

I like the look of the site but you do not have a link to the main page on the inner pages.

A couple of the pages (shirts and hats) definitely took a bit longer to load.

I had a look at the source code too, and have to agree with ServWise.com, it looks like an output from word. I would suggest too that the images could be optimised.

I looked at the source code and it was incredibly bulky. The page itself has too much load time, its not just the images. The browser can only load so fast depending on the internet connection. Without the extra 200 lines of code the pages would load faster. I could build that same site in Notepad with less than half the code easily. That would help the load times as well. All I can say is try to optimize the graphics even smaller using corel or photoshop. That will help some.
