Hi, we in desperate need of a band logo. we are a rock, hard rock, metal band and we are called Serrated Souls.

If you're willing to pay, then you'll find the largest audience in the Graphic Design Contests forum. Make a new contest, and people will start making graphics for you. Just choose the one that you like the best, and pay the person that made it.

pigbait75 - i looked at the logo you made but i dont think it suits the kind of band we are. we feel that it looks too much on the hardcore deathy side to what we are (saying that, we arn't on the other side of the scale with flowers 'n' crap )

there is a link to our myspace. please dont base anything spacifically to those songs 'cause they are over 1 1/2 years old and we have adopted more of a rocky sound now. You can also see our current logo which we think is also too hardcore to the kind of logo we want.

sorry if it sounds negative, because it is a very good logo...just not for our style of music

I don't know if you have already found something you liked, but if you haven't:

Get your guys together and decide on a few things you might want to see in your logo.. It may be a little diffucult making a "BLIND" logo for someone... Tell us some things your band likes, some of the colors your into... simple stuff like that makes a big difference in how your logo will turn out... Don't hold back anything you guys like or want to see...

I am a logo designer, but i do things a little different.. I use a combination of programs to complete my logos.. This is my first post ever with "webmaster-talk" so lets take it easy on the new guy..

I will check back with this thread sunday... Hopefully there will be some new input..

The contest forum was created for a reason. I understand you don't have 20 posts but it is very easy to obtain that amount. Try posting in the General Discussion forum or say hello to a few of our newest members.

WT has great graphic designers on board and I don't feel it would be conceded to say that I am one of them.

You will get the most for your money and more of a selection by using the appropriate forum.

The Graphics forum is for non-paid assistance and many of our designers do not frequent here for that reason. You're doing yourself an injustice by posting here if you are willing to pay.

You don't have to have a pow wow over a logo, let the creativeness come from the designer and give good direction if it's not where you're wanting to go. You've given some good examples and constructive feedback so far. Take the next step, make a few posts and start a contest. I'd be happy to join as well as many others I know if the price is right.

same process most designers use.. I just have not found a program that lets me do everything I like... I get bored really fast, wether the money is good or not..

First, I should say that my heart is in animation.... ".gif" aplications.. But I love the freedom of adobe.. So I pretty much adapt the 2 programs, "when possible.."

It may be the cause of lack of money to buy the newest ADOBE, which i love adobe...
but, I currently use: GIF Animator 5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 5, Xara 3D... For you hard core designers this may be un-accceptable, but I have made a lot of money off the combination of these 3 programs, and I still am... I have been looking for a website/forum that may lean in one direction... and i think i may have found it... After 2 years of animation/logos, this is the first sight where I have found others like myself... I am truely happy right now..

hi, sorry for taking ages to reply, i have been really busy over the holidays. thanks everyone for the feed back.

for the people who havn't already given up on his thread (if any), here is some things about the band and what we like.

-we are a heavy rock/metal band (so we are NOT a band that screams about death all the time etc.) and get alot of our inspiration for bands around in the 80's

-The colours we like in logos are reds,white,blacks and oranges (although it is not restricted to just these)

-a few or our songs are fairly political and controversial (but not all)

if there is anything else you want me to include then just ask me

pm me some info on the sort of logo you want, and the test you want on it and il give it a shot.
