hello looking for software that can optimise all the images in a folder at once.
i used image ready to slice an image and then save as html and associated giffs, i thought image ready would optimise them for me, but if it did, it didnt do a very good job!..maybe theres a setting somewhere to choose the optimisation level..
..anyway im left with a folder full giffs that could do with being put through the process again...

cheers tim.

Yellow Mug Software (http://yellowmug.com/) Makes a kickarse program called "easy batch photo" it will crop, resize, rotate, even drop a watermark/copyright graphic on each image. What's more - it is FAST. I'm running on a 1.8Ghz G5 and it will go through a thousand images in about a minute. Amazing program, runs only on macintosh OS X

most of the major graphics program has got something called "batch process" where in you can optimise, convert and do many other things..

since u say u got image ready.. there is a feature in that or in photoshop..

try that..

Photoshop can do that.
Just record a new action and perform the optimization on one image, stop recording...then go to File > Automate > Batch and set it to the folder you want...
it should work.

Try checking out Fireworks, by Macromedia! I like to do all my image slicing and optimizing in Fireworks.

If you have all your images in one folder, just go to file, batch process, add your files, then you can export in different sizes, quality, file types, add prefixes and suffixes to the file names (and find and replace text in the file names), and other various commands including gray scaling, sephia tones, etc. It will also ask you if you want to save backups or not, which can be quite handy!

Good luck!
