$80 Template Contest

Hi guys.

Firstly I've done many many contests on here so please have faith in getting paid.

For a new project I'm starting. I need a new template and a logo for a football (soccer if your a yank) stats page. I'm basically going to be updating player stats for Liverpool throughout the season to produce some up to date player stats. The main focus of the page is the player bios.

I've set up a basic page here, with a free template and showing all the details I need to display: http://www.lfcstats.co.uk/bios/
This page is just an example of what I'm after, something like that basically. The format and design is completly up to you. This is just an example of what I need to display.

I'm after a template for the player bios, and a new logo (doesnt have to be too fancy - tho encorporating the address www.lfcstats.co.uk might be good, could also include some player pictures? and the logo) The site is called LFC Stats - not LFC PLayer Stats - as per the example. I've had a change of direction.

I would like the template to red and white, as these are the Liverpool colours. I need some links to the various sections of the site on the template and the most important thing is all the player information needs to be displayed in a nice coherent manner as this is the main page of the site. If you know the game Championship Manager, I'm after the stats in that kind of format.

The winner will need to provide all images, a template in HTML and css files and also a blank template for the other sections of the site.

Payment is via paypal only.

Deadline may be cut short or extended depending on the amount of entries but I will warn you if the deadline changes and make sure anyone working on a template has got plenty of time to get it in.

I've provided some images that may be useful. (more in next post)

This is just a preview to see if you like it so far.

The banner expands to fit all screen resolutions.
A Liver Bird logo will apear next to each link when you mouse over them.

Any changes can be made, Just let me know

I should point out that using images from Google images, that you don't own the copyright too, is just asking for trouble. Sure, one of these designers may use them for you and you will pay for it but if the owner of the copyrighted image ever finds your site he/she may very well demand the image is removed and your stuck with a broken design.

Thanks for the entries so far, here is some more detailed feedback.

8105: I think I prefer the second of your two designs.

A Couple of things tho, does steven gerrard (top right) look a little strectched, or is that just me? The idea of a liverbird next to each link on hover sounds good.

I like the way there is a background image, but could you change it something other than a green pitch? shankly gates or anfield perhaps? I also dont like the font for LFC in the title at the top, could this be changed please.

Please can you also put on the latest season stats onto your design and deceide how you would display it.

The top banner looks very impressive and I'm keen to see your attempts at the logo. I very much like your design, but have a couple of things. Firstly, could you change the links on the left, they look a little to plan, maybe jazz em up a bit.

Also there is a big gap between the player bio bar and the top banner. I could maybe put a google adsense banner in there, could you pop one in so i can see. The white background on the main part of the page looks a little plan, could you possibly change it in someway.

zorrosweb15: Thanks for your entry it is very impressive. I like the colour scheme, although I originally wanted white and red, red and black works well.

I really like the top banner and how you have lined up the details of the player looks good too.

The only bit I would like changing is the logo in the top left hand corner, think it looks a little odd plastered on there. Could you maybe put the rest of steven gerrard there or move the LFC Stats logo over?

I also dont like the liver bird in the white box - could you remove it and in its place put links to other sections of the bio - 'Career History', 'Current Season Stats' , 'Season History'

Just a couple of little things, a really clean neat design thanks for entering.

pigbait: thanks for your entry. Its a completly unique way of displaying the data and I applaud you for that.

The only specific thing I dont like is the green for the season stats, a little to bright and overpowering.
