Scuba Diving Site Logo $50 U.K. Based

Hi All

What a great idea and I only noticed this section of the forum yesterday. Just hope Im reading it correctly. I can offer $50 for people to design me a logo and only have to pay the winner?

Well I would like to see a few designs please for http://www.southcoastdiver.com/
At the moment I’m still trying to build the site up but every time I look at it don’t like the logo. So who would like to design one for me?

This is a U.K. based diving site. Its going to list diving destinations of the south coast of England. Show people local dive shops, pubs and accommodation.

I would more than likely like the overall design to be blue because of water. But you have to realise the water in the U.K. is not blue its like a dark green. http://www.sskyarra.com/IMG_0443_small.jpg

I would like the logo / banner to show the full name South Coast Diver and to try and etherise something to do with diving and water. Maybe a dive cylinder or Scuba mask. I don’t really know. What I do know is looking at some of the other threads that people have asked for a logo some really good ideas have been produced.

I will put the closing date for entries as June 15th. That’s the day I get paid so will easily be able to afford to pay the winner. I will be looking to pay the winner via PayPal.

This is the first one of these I have posted so if I have done something wrong or missed something then let me know.

Edit File Type
With regard to the file type just wanted to confirm I need the type I can open in Fireworks / Photoshop and re-size simply so that the logo does not get distorted. Thanks and good luck.

I am also on the south coast of the UK, James. The water IS disgusting

Preliminary version now complete.

If you like the concept then we can develop it further - if there is anything you'd like changed ie. the opacity (transparency) of the bubbles or the text colour etc. then just say.

In addition, changes can be made to the graphic so that it flows into the rest of the site, and doesn't look too isolated.

Hi Guys.

I have not left feedback yet as when I started the competition I had an idea in my head what the design should look like.

Since seeing the various designs on here my mind has been changed several times so I was waiting a bit to see what else would be done that would also make my mind go in another direction.

Firstly I must say all the designs look really good and I want to say thanks to all those who have go involved so far.

At first XHA come up with a design that I thought was great and although it was the first one posted I though I had a winner already. I really like this design.

A few mates at work have said they like Borzoid’s design.

Then along comes the design by pigbait75 (what a name!) I had considered a tank design but had thought it would not have the look I wanted. I now feel that this could be the way forward. One thing I would need to be changed though is the colour of the diving flag. In the U.K. we use the Alpha flag http://www.dive-flag.com/alpha.html we use the Blue and White one. If this could be put onto the design then this could be well on the right track. The Red one would need to be removed.

These are my comments and feedback so far. As I say all the designs are good but what Im really looking for is something as mentioned above. If however you do think of something different as you can see from above my mind can be swayed.

Its hard having to make a choice with so many good designs.
