Hi guys,

for my recent business studies end of year assignment i need to produce a business plan for starting up my own business. I have chosen to do a barbers shop.

It needs to be realistic as possible and therefore i require a business logo...

i wanted something modern, stylish, yet kind of vintage style.

i have been doing lots and lots of research on this, and up until a second ago i couldn't see anything i liked elsewhere on the internet.

one of my unique selling points of the business was to be able to watch football matches on the weekends and funny enough i found 1 business doing this and it had the ideal style logo that i was looking for, what are the changes aye?

- as i havnt yet fully decided on the business name i'll be looking for something i can edit in photoshop in a .psd format... would prefer the logo to be as big as possible to allow me to print a full A4 size of it.

it's just what i want!!!! - but of course another business is using it... dammit, so i need something unique yet along the same lines as that one above, i would prefer to have the full rights to the logos being produced also as i don't want to seem as if i'm copying someone elses logo.

Crop
Cut Back or 'Cut Bk'
Graze
Shears
Even up
Gregory's
Rhys'
RG Barbers
SJ Barbers
R Graze

seee im just guessing at ideas... feel free to try any of the above about with different styles, different logos for a barbers shop,

you don't have to stick with the exact style as mentioned above but would prefer it, but go ahead and show off some of your work, you never know youy may present a better style/idea than i have come up with.

another name that has come to my attention is 'Hair Raiser/Razor' ... comes from the film 'Hell Raiser' - if using this name have a go at a logo with a comb/hair being cut typer thingy. cheers

Unfortunately I don't do flash - that might look good with the stripes moving up the pole. Rhys, let me know if you would like to see any variations.

Hey xpressions,

i do really like it, at first wasn't too sure on using my last name 'Gregory' as the barber shop name, i just personally thought "who would want to go there" but now after seeing it as a logo and how you have incorporated the vintage/modern look it has turned out very nice indeed.

i really like the shades of colour that you have used, the blueshade for the lettering and how you used the barbers pole in the lettering as well. Good Job!

- only thing i can think of as an improvment would be trying to make the barbers pole a little biggger, or a slight variation with the thickness of the font being used.. apart from that, it's really good

hmm the revision doesn't look at good as i thought, the barber pole does look kind of odd standing out, i do like the first loads though.

the second design is really good too, it gives a more professional look to the business, which is totally a good thing.
