I wanna say one thing, I am disappointed in the maturity of some people and the way they conduct themselves in contests, remember it is for a person who is going to pay you, in the real world if we spoke to them the way some have been carrying on in contests you would lose work, you also destroy the chance for yourselves to gain more ongoing work if it looks like you are difficult to work with because of your temperament, keep it professional, by all means encourage each other but don't flame each other in the contest threads, its spam and the last thing I want to see is nitpicking and I can bet ya the contest holder doesn't either, its not good for morale and we are all above that, we are all good in way way or another and bear in mind that what you think looks good may not be what the contest holder is looking for.... this is after all a contest so concentrate all your efforts in designing instead of arguing

Sorry Neonimage,

I didn't know I couldn't have 2 contests running. I have said sorry already. This was an honest mistake I was not trying to scam anyone. That's why I made the post in here first asking the mods.

P.S I am a girl!

From now on, I would like you guys to report either to me or another mod or admin if you suspect a scammer. Accusing people of scamming is a serious accusation, and should be dealt with more privately until we are sure of the scam. We dont want to damage people's reputations for an innocent mistake. So from now on, please dont flame the threads with accusations. Contact me, an admin, or even the person in question PRIVATELY. Then things can be taken care of from there.
Thanks.

next time maybe pm a mod and get them to look into it thats what Mod's do, the problem is when people start using the cry wolf mentality it causes problems and two people have been flamed for false threads as well as myself being accussed of being someone else which I find absurd, when in reality they are fine and legit, maybe unsure on the rules here but being new its understandable, as i said before always remind yourself that you are a designer and you are being paid for your work, you need to be professional about it, even here, Please don't take it personally hun that wasn't the intention, I just think things have got a little out of hand with a few of the posts and need to settle for eveyones benefit, I have pm'd Angele regarding it

neonimage, I am thankful to you for your work in finding possible scams. You have been doing a good thing looking out for everyone and I really do appreciate it.

But regarding the scam thing, I just want a mod, admin, or even the contest holder to be contacted FIRST about any possible scams (or copyrights or other bad things). I hate that there is a possibility that people waste their time, and I totally see where you are coming from Neonimage. The reason I want someone to be contacted privately first is so we can avoid mistakes. Also, it will help prevent people from fighting in the threads and trashing each other. That is my logic behind it.

Please dont take this as an attack to you neonimage. This wasnt brought up because of you. There has been a lot of fighting within the threads and I hope we can cut back on that. I hope you will continue to support the forums (and me) and keep an eye out for scammers. They are definitely there and I can use help finding them!

If ANYONE notices something fishy...please PM me!

I just want to know something. I got very few entries in my contests. they were legit and I tried to offer reasonable prizes that were within my budget.

I see members complaining about scam contests and unfinished contests yet they put their work into them even after the contests drag on to the point of being thought a scam. I also see folks complaining about low prizes and lack of feedback.

What I am not understanding is why members did not enter my legit contests but continue to enter, and complain about, contests that have dragged on without response for way too long.

Were my contests too short? Did I comit some faux pas that I'm not aware of? Should I have put a lower prize on them? I am confused about the response and truly want to know.

I was a bit puzzled by this also, you offered fantastic prizes and had excellent feedback, something a few contest holders need to take note of, I also have a gripe ... is it fair that some designers are pming contest holders before a contest is finished spoiling it for others?

borzoid - I think the reason you did not receive a lot of entries was because of how good the other entries were. I know I would not have entered that contest after seeing the first entries. I would have thought for sure I would be wasting my time because those entries were better than I could do. I think a lot of other's felt that way.
