Hi My Band is about to release a cd and I am looking for ideas for the front cover.
The album is called - The Birth of a Song

What sort of images would be catchy on the front cover?

Thanks

That depends on the style of music, image of the band and so on. What sort of music do you play? Do you have a website? What are you're ideas at the moment.

While I'm here I guess I could do a cheeky plug for my site, as you are in the UK. If you're style can be defined as 'Alternative' (rock, metal, punk or something other than pop/chart) and if you are interested in selling your tracks in MP3 format check out www.notsounknown.co.uk .

Give us some background on the music, more ideas could be thought of that way.

I think the name of the band would be helpful - you want something memorable that listeners can associate with you as a group as well as just this one CD

Definitelly need to know what type of music you guys play and the name of the band. Also, the band's official logo or lettering would be of great help, (if you have it).
Hope you play bone crushing heavy metal If that is the case, I think we can definitelly work something out.

Hi Guys,

The name of the band is - .Soulstarr. and the album is called "Birth of a song"
We play sort of indie rock, a sort of (ALL) rock band - we have a site but only a short bit of a song we play is on the intro. We are re-developing the website as I speak.
Hope you can help

Cheers

so obviously by my avatar, I like butterflies. But I think some kind of butterfly would look good. (you dont have to make it look like a sissy butterfly either). And I think camperjohn's idea is good too. You could even do an open egg and a butterfly or something.

I think the Phoenix rising from ashes works. I think Casa means that sometimes when you have to search for a deeper meaning in a picture, it makes a more powerful and artistic statement. Honestly I think the Phoenix thing would be really good and makes perfect sense.

What I was saying is that subtle (or simple) would be powerfull in this case, something that is simple and plain. Not blank but simple, since the begining of life (or birth of a song) starts off simple before it becomes increasingly complex.

Perhapes it could incorporate both simple and complex, depicitng the growth or birth of something.

Thought I'd give it a go. Text font, style and orientation is, of course, editable.

alright well i suck..but here was my idea...
Have an outline of a new born baby and fill it with songs from a lyric (i just used "lyrics from a song" as a filler)
(and just used any font for title)
