I'd like to get a mouse pad designed to give to clients. I tried my hand at it but am not happy with the results. Below are links to my attempt at the mouse pad, the template showing the printable area and our logo. My only requirements are that the design contain the text displayed on my attempt, that there be a place for a web address (don't have the domain yet) and a place for a phone number (changing, don't know to what yet). Other than that just a design dealing with computers but professional-looking, not cartoony. The finished pad will be 7.75" x 9.25". I'll need the design completed in AI so it can be resized/repurposed as necessary.

Thanks for the submission. I would prefer the name of the business be at the top because the stuff in the middle will eventually get worn away from use and I'd rather that not be our name. I like the text and that it shows up well against the background but I think the background is too simple. I'd like something a little snazzier so people are impressed when we give them out. Also I haven't measured but it looks like the text at the top might have to come in a bit to be safely inside the safe-zone of the template. Otherwise I think it's a really good start.

gooddesigner, I like the fonts and the layout but the feedback I've gotten is that the background is way too busy. Do you have something a little simpler?

MrNova, I like the design but I'd like the text to stand out a little more. Also, I'm told by the printer that the design is too dark. The finished product will be quite a bit darker than the image so it'll need to be lightened up. I was also told the transparent sweeping ark won't translate well to print and should be removed. Lastly the transparent bar across the top appears to be washing out the colors of the logo, can that be fixed?

So I took away the transparency of the bar behind the logo and just made it a solid color that translates with good contrast to the logo on my monitor. Also, I re-arranged some things and made the text more readable.

I'm sorry to take so long getting back to everyone, I'm at a conference this weekend and it's kept me wrapped up.

Thanks for all of the great submissions. I like gooddesigner's simplified design a lot but MrNova's design has the technology look and pop I was looking for.

MrNova, if you're ok making a slight change or two and maybe lightening it up a bit more if the printer says it needs it I'll go ahead and call you the winner. PM me with the payment details.

katesrobyn, although your design isn't what I was looking for in a mouse pad I think it would actually be great for a product we'll be launching in 6-10 months. Will it be ok to contact you at that time to see about getting that set up?
