Graphic Design Contests

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a logo for a new website I'm working on. The website is a fansite for a up and coming sci-fi game called Stellar Dawn. Here's the website:

^ The gap to the left side of the advert is where the logo will go. So please design bigger but of this proportion.

COPY: Stellar Dawn Portal

^ adding .com would be a bonus but not required if it doesn't work well.

In terms of design I'm after a logo that works well with the rest of the website and stands out. It must follow the sci-fi style but other than that it's 100% open. Here's what the official game logo looks like:

I like your design but it's not quite what I'm looking for. The text is really nice but the graphic behind it is a bit too much. Perhaps you could add more style/detail to the text and scrap the graphic behind?

I know exactly what I need now. I'd like grey text as you have with some type of bevel/3d effect with a similar image to below as the "o" in portal:

That's great! I love the top font style but not the bottom. If you can make the portal text the same size/font/style as Stellar Dawn and then adjust the portal image to be the same proportion that will be perfect.
