This site will give daily information on how to leave your current job "chipping away the daily grind" and move into home based work on the internet. The general audience will be anyone working however, emphasis will be on workers in their 40's through retirement.

I would like something I could use for branding. Desired dimensions will be discussed with the winner. Standard file types (firefox, photoshop) along with eps. They must be editable with all layers and high resolution.

A possible start would be chips coming off of the word job and falling into the word Chip for Daily Chip... Chip could also refer to the bits and pieces of info on the web. I will be using a Wordpress theme (not picked out yet). It will depend on the logo. The logo will set the tone so make it special.
The themes I like best are VINTAGE, BLUE and Wisdom Tree from this location (scroll down)... http://www.tutorial9.net/resources/3...ress-themes/#1 I will not be using these but the part and widgets will be used.

I will end the contest if there is an early winner.

Cheers,
Kehf
Color Scheme: 3 to 4 colors - you choose   Type of Design: Logo   Desired Dimensions: high resolution   Desired Filetypes: editable firefox or photoshop   Prize: $100   How prize will be delivered: PayPal   End Date: 10/16/09

Thinking he means wood chips, sawdust, etc. Like "chipping" away with an axe. What I don't understand though is what it's supposed to say. I thought "DailyChip" but then it says to make the chips come off the word Job...can you clear that up some? Thanks.

Nice themes btw.

EXTENDED CONTEST UNTIL NOVEMBER 6, 2009!!! I will close the contest should I see something I like right away. I will continue this contest for one additional week if there is no winner by the 6th of Nov.

Sorry ALL!!! It seems I had an issues with my credentials here at the forum. I could not answer or reply. I kept getting an error message. I have been trying to get it resolved since I posted this contest and found the issue was on my end. Email validation went to Junk Mail and I did not see it.

Jay was correct... it is chipping away...
Surprise me with color. I do not like black backgrounds - they are difficult to read and navigate through especially for persons with sight issues. I will be chipping away at the JOB and moving to making an income working from home. I like clean and simple lines and designs.

I hope this gets things going again.

Luck to all who enter!

HMLDESIGN - That was quick. And good work.

I like it. It's a bit on the flat side. I would like to have a more 3-D appearance.

This is the first time I am looking at the concept and does not "read" well. It makes me think that it is a daily job chip or some type of employment tip or advice. That is my fault. I think if I were to use the term JOB I might want it to be the shadow of the word Chip. I don't really think it belongs now.

The colors are really good together but these colors are overused. But the colors could be usable if an accent color were added. I am looking for something different. Maybe a gold instead of green. Accent color dark or brick reds. Again, I am still open to different color uses.

This is a wonderful first! It gives you more of an idea of what I would like to see.

Cheers,
Kehf

ORION... great colors too. Again looking for 3-D effects and let's loose the JOB - I don't think it is going to work. Take a look at the information I gave HTMDESIGN. Maybe play some more with the case of letters.

Cheers,
Kehf

Orian... I liked that one. Can we now look at incorporating the term chip... maybe taking chips off the letters... not much or maybe making the C come off of the letter d as a chip...mmmm

For everyone else... this is more of where I am going... a bit 3d and different... maybe a tool of some kind to chip away at the words... the letter J as a tool to chip away at the title... dunno ...

It is a must that the chipping away is conveyed some way. Does not have to be just words. Cartoon's are OK too.

Cheers,
Kehf

this isn't what you probably had in mind... but I don't think the J chipping away or C as a chip from D would be too crazy looking... here's a more subtle version

I like Katerobyn's need some color. This is very close. For direction to others... something similar but the chips will get lost in the logo if too small. I like to have some color... one color with different hughs are great but will blend too much... I would like to have the chips become the flooring of the logo...

All in all this is VERY CLOSE!

Orion...
I especially like your word chip... the way the C is. and where the chips fall. Let's loose the tool and have the chips be a bit bigger... change the D on daily and add some color. Can you do a bit deeper of 3D? Both you and Katesrobyn are running VERY CLOSE to what I want.

Cheers,
Kehf
